Invest in Renfrewshire is Renfrewshire Council’s Employability Service which aims to boost the local economy and tackle unemployment.
We are looking for a highly motivated person, seeking a challenging role within a busy economic development environment. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for engaging with clients from priority groups to help support them to employment by providing tailored bespoke support to overcome both real and perceived barriers to enable participation in the labour market.
You will have experience of case managing a client portfolio with a requirement to register eligible clients, conduct initial assessments, develop a personal activity plan, complete a client agreement and deliver a range of employability training and support activities to assist unemployed people in Renfrewshire to access and sustain vocational training, education and employment opportunities.
It is essential that you have a minimum of an SVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline or relevant experience at an appropriate level working in an employability environment supporting individuals into positive and sustained destinations. You must demonstrate experience of working in a similar post delivering employability interventions and dedicated support to individuals to secure employment.
Substantial experience of working with unemployed people with a range of challenges and barriers is also essential, along with experience of developing and delivering training sessions to groups of unemployed individuals to gain the necessary attributes, skills, and experience to progress to sustainable employment. Additionally, experience of assessment, development, and implementation of action plans to support unemployed individuals of all ages towards sustainable employment is required.
You will have knowledge of employability services across Renfrewshire and national resources, compliance knowledge, skills to generate compliant files, and understanding of core indicators for basic skills and relevant qualification frameworks.
It is desirable that you have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team.
