We are looking for the right person to join our existing team and help support our teenage daughter who has severe epilepsy and complex disabilities, to live life to the fullest, whilst helping with all aspects of her day to day care. Tasks will include:
* Accessing activities in the community.
* Personal Care.
* Eating and preparing meals.
* Moving and handling.
Any other duties commensurate with the role of Care Worker / Personal Assistant The applicant must be patient, honest, reliable, encouraging, sociable and caring. They should be comfortable working alongside a second Support Worker as care is provided 2:1.
* A good history and experience of providing care and support. At least 1 year caring experience preferred.
* Experience and an understanding of epilepsy preferred but not essential as training will be given.
* Received moving and handling training (hoisting) preferred but training will be given if not.
Other Requirements -
* A Full Driving License and willingness to drive a WAV (van) with our daughter on board in her wheelchair.
Applicants must have membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to join this scheme and share these details with the employer.
Hours: Casual worker required to undertake shifts when available so flexibility required around availability. Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour Gross
