Associate Tutor

Casual hours (as and when required)
Hourly rate of £19.43 plus benefits
Serco have an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Site Technician based at the International Fire Training Centre in Darlington.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of training programmes in accordance with QMS procedures, assess students’ performance against recognised standards using a range of methods in accordance with QMS procedures.
* Take responsibility for personal development in order to broaden the type and range of courses that can be delivered by the individual.
* Assist in the design and development of training programmes in response to business and client needs.
* Assist in course update work in order for courses to maintain compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
* Assist lead tutors in provide students/sponsors with follow up reports and action plans in the agreed format.
* Maintain equipment in accordance with recognised procedures.
* Apply innovation and creativity to the methods of delivery to enhance the learning experience for students.
* Provide feedback to line managers on matters of student performance, staff performance, health and safety.
* Report shortfalls and non-conformities to line manager promptly and in the recognised format.
* Any other reasonable duties as specified by the line manager.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Must be qualified and hold the position of Crew Manager or above.
* Must have operational experience within LAFRS or UK licensed aerodrome Cat 5 and above.
* Must hold a current LGV (C) licence.
* Must be a breathing apparatus instructor (BAI).
* Preferably qualified with a level 3 teaching PTTLS certificate.
* Preferably qualified to assess (TAQA / A1 assessor qualification).
* Good IT skills including the ability to work with Word and Power-point.
