Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for an internal auditor. If you have an eye for detail and are able to work collaboratively to champion a culture of continuous improvement to help the business better manage risks, this could be the position for you. Reporting to the Group Head of Internal Audit and Risk, you will take a consultative approach, working with managers throughout the business to ensure we understand and take action to manage the financial and operational risks we face, providing independent assurance that the group's internal controls and processes are operating effectively. You will be motivated by helping the business identify, prioritise, and mitigate risks. Taking a logical approach with the ability to assess a situation accurately and swiftly, you will assess the controls throughout the business, undertaking risk-based audits on financial and operational processes to identify control weaknesses and opportunities for improvements. Being process-driven, you will take accountability for scoping reviews, planning field work, and drafting audit findings and reports. You will ensure these are completed within agreed methodologies. Using your excellent analytical skills and sound independent judgement, you will work with the business to agree pragmatic and practical audit actions, and then monitor their successful delivery to improve efficiency and mitigate risk across the business. The ideal candidate will show a strong commitment to quality and consistency, ensuring that all tasks are completed with the highest level of accuracy and reliability. Finally, you will support the Group Head of Audit and Risk in helping the business embed a robust risk management framework and risk management processes. Ideally, you will be a qualified accountant with demonstrable experience in audit and risk management who is self-motivated with excellent people skills, and can build and maintain relationships across teams and all levels of management. Being commercially aware, you will have the aptitude to identify opportunities to make controls more effective, and be able to communicate these clearly via written reports and verbal presentations to convey the results of audits and drive continuous improvement.
