Position: Plasterer
Pay Rate: £18.00 per/hour
Location: Birmingham, Tyseley, B11
Contract Type: Temporary for 12 weeks before going permanent
Shift Pattern: 8am - 4:30pm

Think Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Plasterer to join a leading maintenance and refurb contractor, working on the Birmingham City Council contract. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a disrepair and litigation team within a social housing environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Plastering Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out plastering repairs, re-skimming, and making good on walls, ceilings, and surfaces within properties in the Birmingham City Council housing stock.
2. Disrepair Investigations: Assist in investigations regarding disrepair cases, providing expert plastering advice, identifying causes of issues such as cracks, damp, or faulty finishes that may require litigation.
3. Documenting Findings: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including detailed reports on the condition of plastering and repairs carried out, to support potential litigation cases.
4. Compliance with Legal & Health & Safety Standards: Ensure all plastering work meets legal standards and complies with health and safety regulations, especially when working in environments where asbestos may be present or in confined spaces.
5. Collaboration with the Legal Team: Work alongside the legal and disrepair teams to provide evidence, attend meetings, and offer expert plastering advice on ongoing litigation cases.
6. Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with tenants and other stakeholders to ensure repairs are carried out smoothly and with minimal disruption to residents.
7. Preventative Maintenance: Where applicable, perform preventative maintenance to ensure long-term quality and avoid future plastering-related issues in tenants' homes.
Requirements:
1. CSCS Card (Essential)
2. Qualifications in Plastering (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
3. Clean UK Driver's License (Manual) (Essential)
4. Certificates (Must be obtained before the start date if you do not already have them - these can be completed online):

2. Working at Height
3. Manual Handling
