Hire Desk Controller- Glasgow Depot
The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to join our team within our Glasgow Depot. As the first point of contact for all incoming customer enquiries, you will liaise closely with our central office teams, onsite workshop team and suppliers to ensure that the end to end hire process for our customers is seamless. Providing critical support to the depot Manager, our Hire Controller will identify hire solutions, provide resolve and seek to maximize the utilization of our Plant Hire fleet. Key responsibilities include:
* Respond to all incoming customer enquiries via email, telephone and face to face in a timely and professional manner.
* Provide customers with product and service information and advice.
* Resolve general queries in a timely and efficient manner.
* Work closely with other departments to ensure stock availability, delivery and collections.
* Develop product knowledge of hire fleet and accessories with an understanding of costs associated with transportation of products.
* Produce quotations, off hires requests and quality check of purchase orders.
* Build and maintain positive relations with all clients/potential customers.
* Proactively identify opportunities to increase sales growth through conducting outgoing sales calls.
* Be proficient in the completion of all physical and electronic documentation and administration associated with Hire, Service, Exchanges, Sale, or other related enquiries.
* Review and reconcile data on our CMS system HubSpot ensuring accurate updates are communicated to customers.
* Take ownership of the depot hire process, from the initial enquiry from customer, through to the delivery of our product and all aspects in between.

The right candidate will have the following skills and/or experience:
* Confident and ambitious in nature.
* Previous experience in a customer-facing role and/or hire desk (plant hire industry is advantageous).
* Highly organized and motivated.
* Ability to work well with others.
* Competent computer user, proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook packages.
* Keen to learn new skills and expand knowledge on a range of products.
* Seeking career progression.
* A valid UK driving license is required for this role.
