Senior Residential Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our dynamic team in Newton-Le-Willows. In this pivotal role, you will not only be responsible for the well-being of our children and young people but also serve as a mentor and role model for new team members, offering them the support and guidance they need to thrive in their positions.
The home is in a beautiful part of Newton, it is a four bedroomed property and will cater for two young people and children within an EBD setting. We have a great RM who has proved himself to be very successful within the children's care sector who is very excited and enthusiastic to start with a great team behind him.
Your primary responsibilities as a Senior Residential Support Worker will include:
1. Providing emotional support and fostering meaningful relationships with the children and young people in our care.
2. Playing a crucial role in establishing clear boundaries and routines, creating a nurturing environment that they can genuinely consider their home.
3. Empowering our children and young people to build confidence and self-esteem.
4. Taking an active interest in each child and young person’s individual needs and aspirations, encouraging and facilitating their development.
You will need:
* An understanding of Children's Home Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Knowledge of Ofsted procedures and legislation.
* Ability to lead a team on shift.
This is a role that requires a strong character and resolve; it is a demanding and challenging post.
You will require:
* NVQ Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
* Able to work shift patterns and sleep ins.
* Two years’ experience working in a Children and Young Person’s setting.
* Experience of leading a shift.
* Full UK driving licence.
