Branch Address: Split role, Head Office in Runcorn and field based across North Wales
Salary and Hourly Rate: £62,000.00 pa
Working Hours: 3 days in the Runcorn Head Office, 9am until 5:15pm (7.5 hours) and 2 days in a North Wales branch (hours and pattern to be confirmed)
Are you a dedicated and patient-focused Independent Prescribing Pharmacist looking for the next step in your career? Rowlands Pharmacy have a rare vacancy for a Pharmacist, working three days a week within the Superintendent’s Office alongside the Superintendent’s Team and two days a week supporting the delivery of prescribing services in North Wales.
This unique dual role will involve providing first line support to our Pharmacies and the Superintendent’s Team, providing clinical support to our Purchasing Team and supporting the ongoing development of our Independent Prescribing Programme. You will also be responsible for delivering Independent Prescribing services in Wales. You will be supported by an experienced and friendly team, and full training will be provided for your development.

Key Responsibilities
* Support our Purchasing Team to ensure products are safe and reliably sourced, providing guidance to the Pharmacy Team as needed.
* Act as the Superintendent's Team point of contact regarding Independent Prescribing developments, governance, and support.
* Collaborate closely with the Quality and Clinical Governance Manager and Professional Support Manager.
* Provide a full range of face-to-face clinical services to patients (including Independent Prescribing services) in a pharmacy in the Wales region.
What We Require
* Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
* Independent Prescriber annotation (or commitment to qualify)
* Detailed understanding of operational processes in a community pharmacy
* Understanding of Patient Medication Records system functionality
* Knowledge of GPhC standards and guidance and pharmacy practice law
* Understanding of NHS contractual requirements and accreditations for relevant services
* Good clinical knowledge of medicines and medicinal products
* Ability to build relationships with colleagues from various backgrounds
* Excellent written and presentation skills
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
* Strong time management, influencing, and organizational skills
