Flagship Group is excited to announce that we are recruiting for two Building Maintenance Labourer positions. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and repairing Flagship properties, ensuring that our tenants receive an outstanding repairs service. You will work 40 hours per week, from 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday, and until 2:30 pm on Friday, with the flexibility to work additional paid hours when necessary to complete repairs outside of core hours.
As a Building Maintenance Labourer, you will perform a variety of general building maintenance tasks, including the clearance of empty properties, general cleaning, gutter clearances, and decorating. You will also handle damp and mould cleaning, flood repairs, and asbestos removal when needed. Using various tools and equipment, including your own Flagship Services vehicle, you will ensure all work is completed to the required standard the first time around, minimizing waste and providing the best possible service to our tenants.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of carrying out a range of general maintenance tasks, including previous ladder working experience. Experience within a trade environment is preferred. You should have good practical skills, the ability to repair or replace parts as required, and the capability to determine necessary equipment and assist with preparing cost estimates. Strong customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, as is competence in Microsoft applications such as Outlook and Teams. A full Trade Apprenticeship or NVQ level 2 within a relevant trade and a full driving license are required.
Additionally, you must be willing to participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, which may include public holidays.
In this role, you will develop your understanding of and response to safeguarding and emergency situations on-site. You will also become familiar with a range of operational digital systems, including a work scheduling system. Through Flagship's Trade Plus scheme, you will have the opportunity to gain and be paid for additional trade skills outside of your core trade.
