Main duties of the job
We are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic radiographer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to drive forward paediatric radiography education and imaging across the Wessex Imaging Network.
You will be responsible for identifying learning needs, planning and delivering training, mentoring and assessing achievement of competencies in paediatric radiography working across the radiology services within the Wessex Imaging Network. This will aid the development and delivery of high quality services across the region.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The postholder will:
1. Devise and implement a strategy that provides quality paediatric radiography training for radiographers and other Health Care professionals within WIN which underpins evidence-based practice.
2. Assist the development of paediatric radiography services within the network, coaching, mentoring, and promoting evidence-based paediatric radiography.
3. Continue to work in clinical practice to maintain clinical competence.
What we're looking for
Applicants must be able to evidence:
* Strong paediatric imaging knowledge
* Extensive post qualification experience in radiography
* Evidence of previous teaching experience including devising teaching materials and delivering training through a variety of methods
The post holder will need to be happy to travel as they will be working at sites across this imaging network to support paediatric radiography.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* Professional requirements e.g. Registered Nurse or Registered Professional or Non-registered support worker etc.
* Highly developed specialist professional knowledge acquired through master's level education or equivalent experience
* Mentoring/coaching/education qualification to postgraduate diploma level or equivalent evidence of supporting learners in practice.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Significant experience within relevant field
* Experience of educating others in a formal or informal setting
* Broad awareness of trust initiatives/pressures
* Further education at a master's degree level in relevant practice area
* Previous Band 7 experience
* Further evidence of speciality competence
