As we continue to grow, we are seeking skilled engineers to work across the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council Corporate and Schools estate to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance and deliver projects. We are on the lookout for an experienced Multiskilled Engineer – Gas Bias to join our dynamic team and support this exciting project.

Location: Solihull
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities:
* Reactive & Remedial Repairs: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks with a focus on gas systems, minor building fabric repairs, and basic plumbing installations.
* Client Representation: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while interacting with clients and addressing their needs efficiently.
* Documentation: Complete and submit all required documentation accurately and on time, using both hard copy and electronic formats.
* Technical Problem-Solving: Resolve complex technical issues related to gas systems and minor works, including sourcing parts and seeking technical support.
* Health & Safety: Follow strict health and safety guidelines, including conducting risk assessments to ensure safe working practices.
* Out-of-Hours Cover: Provide out-of-hours support on a rota basis to ensure continuous service availability.

About You
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Gas Bias Multi-Skilled Engineer who is dedicated to delivering high-quality service and maintaining excellent safety and efficiency standards.
Essential Criteria:
* NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in a relevant field.
* Gas Safe Registered.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in building maintenance, with a strong focus on gas-related tasks.
* Current Full UK Driver’s License.
* Registered CSCS/CSR Card or equivalent skill card.
Desirable Criteria:
* IOSH – Working Safely or a similar health and safety qualification.
* Mechanical qualifications such as Unvented Systems, Legionella Awareness, etc.
* Proficiency with PDAs and other IT tools.
* Asbestos awareness training.
