What awaits you: Main Responsibilities To control the implementation of the Near-Term Planning (NTP). Monitoring of the quantities to be delivered and the control of the finished goods stocks at the location and external warehousing. The role will also be responsible for creating, updating and implementing departmental processes and the associated KPIs, as well as area controlling and representing shipping management. Keys Skills and Knowledge Processing and scheduling of shipping orders by truck, rail, sea and air freight, and relevant control and execution of import/export activities Compliance with legal requirements and framework conditions Knowledge of customs and foreign trade law Creation and provision of all documents required for shipping: delivery notes packing lists, forwarding and transport orders, labels, certificates, postal papers, customs papers, invoices (using SAP) Advise the shipments to the respective forwarding agents and plan the freight space Monitoring the timely and appropriate order processing Preparation of papers for rail transport; web applications, Transporeon & NEWS (In House System) Handling of customs formalities and handling of customs filing Ensure compliance with the stipulated provisions for letters of credit Obtaining and evaluating offers for air and sea freight and processing of the respective freight documents in accordance with the specifications of the IMS system Handling of special transports (spools, retrievals from consignment warehouses, contract finishers, empty pallets etc) Document scrap outgoings and draw up the associated freight documents Check/arrange/confirm freight cost invoice/credit Memo procedures for forwarding services based on transport orders Close cooperation with other departments, especially planning, quality, sales, packaging, loading Monitoring plans -v- actual quantities delivered Escalation of process deviations, work to resolve with internal and external partners Daily control on inventories and initiation of inventory reduction measures with the framework of the specifications Develop, update and monitor the daily and weekly KPIs What Novelis offers you: A permanent position with the global pioneer for technology and sustainability in the future market of aluminum processing and recycling An attractive salary package as well as a company pension plan An open corporate culture with the opportunity to drive things forward and contribute ideas The opportunity to shape a sustainable world together The Novelis Latchford plant a suburb of Warrington Cheshire in England employs approximately 200 employees. It is one of Europe’s largest aluminium used beverage cans recycling plants and Europe’s largest closed-loop recycling operation for automotive aluminium rolled products with an annual recycling capacity of up to 195000 tonnes. The plant is an essential part of Novelis’ European production and collaborated with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to create the first closed-loop system in Europe with a dedicated railway service to efficiently deliver aluminium between Novelis and JLR’s production site in the UK.
