If you are a qualified Social Worker wishing to support children, young people, and their families in a statutory setting, a career in children’s social work service in Fife awaits you.
The Person: You will need to demonstrate knowledge and skills in a statutory childcare setting, a sound understanding of child development, theories, legislation, and policy, and be confident in using these in assessments. You must work collaboratively and display excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
You must engage with families, understand their needs, and ensure a strengths-based approach to working with children and families. You will need to travel efficiently throughout the course of your job.
You are required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of employment and complete the required Post Registration Training and Learning.
Potential candidates must have a social work qualification at degree or postgraduate level.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland.
