Job overview
We are actively looking to increase our workforce and invite people looking to relocate to the NHS and SECAmb area for the role Ambulance Technician. We have opportunities available Trust Wide.
Main duties of the job
* Full IHCD Technician certificate or equivalent BTEC Level 3 Ambulance Aid
* Candidates MUST hold a full C1 (manual) category on their driving licence as well as a Blue Light Driving Qualification prior to joining the trust
* Experienced Technicians including Frec 5 with at least 2 years front line experience
* 12 lead ECG recognition of key life-threatening rhythms, acquired through knowledge, training and experience

* GCSE English and Maths at Grade C – or Level 2 English and Maths / a commitment to obtain these
You will have a driving assessment and upon joining you will go straight into a clinical conversion course.
This opportunity is for the named location and we would shortlist those within a 45-minutes commute.

Our vision is to become a world-class provider of emergency and urgent healthcare services in the pre-hospital and out of hospital environments. To help us achieve this aim we are recruiting for Experienced Technicians.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are looking for empathetic and committed individuals who hold a BTEC Level 3 / IHCD Level qualification and Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving and full C1 Licence. Applicants must have an excellent knowledge of pre-hospital care, be methodical and systematic, and demonstrate compassionate care in their daily interaction with patients.
Applicants must also have the ability to deal with stressful and sensitive situations whilst being highly motivated and enthusiastic.

Please note that the salary range noted on the vacancy is in line with agenda for change (AFC) pay scales. All successful applicants would be placed automatically at the bottom of the banding, unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.
