We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Supply Teacher to provide high-quality, short-term cover at a school for the month of January 2025 with the possibility of extension.
In this role, you will step into KS2 classrooms to maintain continuity of learning during staff absences. You will need to quickly build rapport with pupils, deliver engaging lessons, and ensure a smooth transition for the class under your guidance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, can adapt to different classroom environments, and is committed to upholding high standards in teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-planned lessons to KS2 pupils, ensuring learning objectives are met and the curriculum is followed.
Maintain a positive classroom environment, encouraging pupils to engage actively and respect classroom routines.
Adapt to different class settings, working effectively with teaching assistants and support staff to ensure seamless continuity of learning.
Manage pupil behaviour effectively, using strategies that encourage positive conduct and support children’s emotional well-being.
Provide feedback to the class teacher or senior staff on pupil progress, behaviour, and any notable observations.
Essential Experience/Attributes:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with proven experience teaching KS2 pupils.
Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with different classroom routines and teaching materials.
Strong classroom management skills, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, working well with pupils, staff, and school leadership.
A DBS check registered on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
