Job Role: HR Advisor/ Employment Law
Salary: £40,000
Location: Leicester
Working Days: Monday-Friday
Our client is looking to recruit an established HR Advisor, specialising in Employment Law for their advice line service, providing employment law and HR advice to their clients. This is the perfect opportunity for an HR Advisor who has experience advising managers and senior stakeholders on all areas of employment law and HR processes. Ideally, you will have experience working in an HR advisory or multi-site/regional capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the first point of contact for clients, providing telephone and email advice on a range of employment matters.
2. Ensure the advice offers best practice and commercially practical solutions, explaining the risks and liabilities associated with the solutions.
3. Advise clients on complex employment law and HR issues, including redundancies, disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, absence management, and settlement agreements.
4. Work effectively with the wider consultancy, advice line, and business development teams to support consistent delivery to clients.
5. Account manage a small client bank within the agreed service levels.
6. Undertake client ad-hoc consultancy projects as directed, which may require travel to client sites.
7. Draft topical articles for publication on our website and other social media platforms.
8. Support the out-of-hours service, providing 24/7 telephone cover on a rota basis.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
1. Qualified or working towards Level 5 (desirable).
2. Generalist HR experience dealing with complex ER and HR cases.
3. Experience of drafting and advising on HR processes, policies, and procedures, with up-to-date knowledge of Employment law and case law.
4. Experience of working as an HR advisor and meeting deadlines in a pressurised environment.
5. Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and autonomously.
7. IT skills, including a working knowledge of Windows (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
8. Driving license and use of own vehicle as travel may be required (desirable).

Your technical expertise is crucial, as is the ability to offer customer-focused, pragmatic advice while maintaining confidentiality. Tact, diplomacy, excellent oral and written skills are essential, as is a positive attitude. You must display integrity and professionalism at all times and be self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to tight deadlines.
