Skills for Care has multiple exciting opportunities for Business Support Officers across the organisation.
Our Business Support Officers support successful planning and delivery of business-as-usual projects and programmes. Bringing strong organisational and facilitation skills along with excellent communication, you will play a key role in supporting Skills for Care to fulfil our role of supporting people working in social care.
The Business Support Officer role is often the link between our National Leads and the rest of the organisation and plays a vital role in ensuring that projects are planned, communicated, and delivered successfully. The post holders will support the successful delivery of a range of projects by providing professional project support to National Leads, Programme Heads and Heads of Departments to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
We have multiple roles available for general Business Support Officers that will support across our general workstreams.
We have one role supporting our new Quality Assurance Service for training providers and their courses, with a core focus being on the review and assessment of training provider applications against a set of quality standards. It will also involve supporting a varied programme of work including sector engagement; service promotion; qualification reviews; and the development of funding eligibility for new training schemes.
We also have one role that will support our new Learning Delivery team. It will involve supporting a varied programme of work including the effective running of our Learning Management System, leadership and management development, and digital skills.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar role and provide examples to evidence effective organisational and communication skills. Attention to detail as well as the ability to see the bigger picture is vital, as Business Support Officers are in the best place to highlight cross-cutting themes and make recommendations about efficient cross-organisational working. The role also requires strong negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to build relationships quickly with team members as well as a range of stakeholders.
