We are looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure STL team in Bridgend.
Skanska Technology Limited (STL) is an expanding in-house engineering design consultancy supporting projects across the water, heavy industrial, power, and design and build sectors. Based in our Bridgend office, you'll join a flexible team and work across multiple sectors to support exciting projects.
Join our growing STL Design team and contribute to the delivery of innovative engineering solutions. You’ll assist with technical delivery on a portfolio of small projects or sections of larger ones, reporting to a Senior Project Engineer.
What you'll do:
1. Preparation of outline & detailed design in accordance with the relevant design standards.
2. Preparation of clear and well-structured design calculations, reports, drawings and other deliverables.
3. Knowledge of BIM led design, and experience to use common structural design software tools such as STAAD Pro, FEM Analysis and Design or Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis.
4. Plan and coordinate own work to deliver successful projects to agreed time and cost expectations.
5. A developing understanding of the commercial aspects of project delivery.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant qualification.
2. Motivated and collaborative, with a solid understanding of Eurocodes and UK Industry Codes.
3. Willingness to attend site visits and work on buildable solutions.
4. UK/EEC driving licence.
5. Desired: Working towards membership of a professional body.
