Job summary We are seeking to attract a Clinical Quality Lead within Shropshire Telford and Wrekin ICB. Reporting to the Head of Quality, and professionally accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Clinical Quality Lead is responsible for leading, developing and implementing an effective, robust and comprehensive clinical governance, learning from events, patient safety, quality strategy and associated work programme within the area of responsibility to mitigate against clinical risk, ensuring the delivery of a safe, effective and person centred service within the area of responsibility in response to strategic and national direction.We are looking for a highly motivated, clinical professional who has experience of working within a governance and safety framework, who can demonstrate credible clinical knowledge as well as a diverse range of operational experience within a complex healthcare system. This post will require leadership, confidence, and drive to deliver improvements to outcomes for patients who need the support of the Shropshire region.This is a full-time position. The post holder will monitor the audit cycle of continuous improvement regarding patient safety and experience in respect of their portfolio. The post-holder will ensure patient and family safety and experience are at the forefront of clinical practice and governance processes. Key to this role is the monitoring of a robust clinical quality and governance framework within their portfolio. The post-holder will gather evidence to provide assurance in relation to the National quality indicators, safety of service and clinical outcomes relating to their portfolio. The post holder will ensure that concerns are addressed in a timely manner and that learning is embedded in practice.
