The Role We are seeking an experienced Assistant Spa Manager to join our team at Soho Farmhouse (OX7 4JS). As the Assistant Spa Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests receive an unforgettable experience from the moment they step through the doors. Duties include To effectively assist in the management of the Spa team (including Receptionists, Therapists, Lead Therapists and Housekeeping) ensuring that high standards are maintained at all times. To be a motivational leader capable of implementing team building strategies to ensure a strong and harmonious team spirit with low levels of staff attrition. Alongside the Spa Manager, continually develop individuals within the team, ensuring a consistent learning curve with a high level of motivation. Support new starter induction and training of all staff and ensure regular evaluation and development of skills. To lead by example; working with the team, exhibiting strong front of house and customer care skills. Under the direction of the Spa Manager assist and carry out appraisals and reviews of all staff. Maintain inventory levels by ensuring proper stock levels on retail shelves, treatment consumables available at all times and in all work stations. Place professional weekly orders, accurately forecasting and planning for the spa's needs Who we are looking for Must have 2-3 years previous Spa Management experience within a large busy Spa Operation Treatment background, including NVQ level 2 & 3 or equivalent qualifications Must have experience with People management functions Excellent communication skills and customer service required. Team player who communicates well with all colleagues Punctual, reliable and trustworthy Sense of urgency Yes, yes, yes mentality Can do attitude Previous experience in a similar fast-paced environment Required Skills/Qualifications NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 or equivalent industry related qualifications Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and holidays as needed Ability to multitask and excel in a high-volume and demanding fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands. Must be able to work on your feet for at least 8 hours. Fast paced movements are required to go from one part of the club to others.
