Here at Innovative Technology, we have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor, to join our talented team at our head office in Oldham, Greater Manchester.
The Maintenance Supervisor, role overview:
The Maintenance Supervisor will manage all aspects of site maintenance and health and safety priorities including planned & reactive maintenance. Additionally, they will manage new projects that will improve site facilities so we’re looking for someone who will adopt a proactive approach to both compliance & continuous improvement.
Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Supervisor:
1. Maintain the security and appearance of company buildings and surrounding areas per company standards
2. Conduct daily/weekly site checks to uphold standards
3. Plan and execute preventative maintenance, including: Minor electrical repairs (e.g., lighting) Minor plumbing issues (e.g., blockages, leaks) Basic building upkeep (e.g., painting, carpentry) Emergency tasks (e.g., snow shovelling)
4. Identify and report major maintenance needs to the Production Manager
5. Adhere to safe work systems and maintain a tidy workshop
6. Perform maintenance risk assessments and PAT testing on electrical equipment
7. Maintain building utilities (electricity, gas, water) as needed
8. Supervise maintenance contracts, coordinating contractors and providing mini-inductions on hazards, emergency procedures, first aid, alarms, and contacts
9. Manage and coordinate with contractors to ensure legal compliance
10. Serve as the point of contact for site security, CCTV monitoring, and key holding, both during and after hours
Skills and experience we are looking for in our Maintenance Supervisor:
11. City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 in mechanical and electrical maintenance, or a recognised formal apprenticeship.
12. Competent at basic building repairs and maintenance with an ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment.
13. Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
14. Flexible and committed to working hard and completing tasks within agreed timescales.
15. Extremely organised with good communication skills.
16. Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving.
17. Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, including COSHH regulations and an awareness of health and hygiene procedures.
18. Competent in Microsoft packages excel, word, etc.
