Are you based in or close to Cambridge and looking for your next role as a Software Developer in Test? This tech company works in the energy sector, providing robust software solutions for their customers across the UK and Europe. They take software engineering seriously, and software testing is integral to their overall approach. This means tests are included from day one of new projects rather than a development after-thought.
They are keen to recruit a new member of the team to collaborate with as their next Software Developer in Test. In this position, you’ll work within a small product team (alongside other engineers and stakeholders) to provide test engineering solutions so customers’ needs are met and projects can be delivered. This will include the development of automated test systems to create integrated tests, explore test scenarios and simulate external systems for software interaction tests.
Requirements
* You’re smart and software-savvy, evidenced through good academic achievement at university (ideally studying computer science) or demonstrated through extensive relevant project work.
* You can provide examples of software projects you have delivered as a software developer in test (ideally for an Enterprise software application, preferably using C#.NET and SQL Server).
* Your experience as a software developer in test includes understanding software architecture and how to implement unit test coverage.
We are not looking for use of mainstream test tools and frameworks, but rather an individual who has an eye for detail and a real zeal with software test engineering.
Offices are based in Cambridge, and interested candidates must be able to come to offices when needed (usual work arrangements can include hybrid options, but being able to visit offices with short notice during the working week is expected). On offer is an excellent compensation package including a range of benefits.
The company looks to support careers, provide opportunities internally, treat employees well and reward long term service.
