Sodexo is seeking a Safety & Risk Assistant to support the Safety & Risk Manager in ensuring compliance with Fire, Health, Safety & Environmental regulations at HMP Forest Bank. This role involves administrative management, accident investigations, and promoting a safe working environment. We are also offering a competitive salary of £25,997.91 rising to £27,324.39 after 1 years service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support, including managing DATIX, safety files, and noticeboards.
* Assist with health & safety training, accident investigations, and claims management.
* Support compliance with fire safety, health & safety legislation, and Sodexo policies.
* Maintain and update the HMP Forest Bank Health & Safety & Fire Action Plans.
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
* Level 2 Health & Safety & Food Safety qualification (or working towards it).
* Awareness of Fire & Health & Safety legislation.
* Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office) and attention to detail.
* Excellent planning, organization, and interpersonal skills.
* Security clearance and a valid driving license.
Desirable:
* IOSH Membership, Level 3 Health & Safety qualification.
* Experience in fire, health & safety, audits, or custodial environments.
