Operational Team Leader
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top 100 law firm based in Wakefield. We are looking to hire an Operational Team Leader to work within our Serious Injury Department.

What you’ll be working on
You will work within our expanding Serious Injury Department to support with the supervision, development and mentoring of our Serious Injury Paralegals.
The role involves supporting the Team Manager to ensure cases are progressed in a timely manner and individual colleague performance is in line with the Company’s objectives and key performance indicators, as well as achieving the required operational, financial and client service performance level.
Your day-to-day will include
1. Supporting the Team Manager to lead the team, including delegating where appropriate.
2. Managing the performance and productivity of team members.
3. Manage processes and conduct meetings covering areas such as personal development plans, performance reviews, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes.
4. Provide effective supervision, which will include weekly supervision, feedback sessions, sharing knowledge, updates and guidance to help colleagues progress.
5. Working to deadlines, quickly and accurately.
6. Facilitating and delivering training as required through both inductions and ad hoc sessions as required
You should apply if you
7. Have previous experience of leading teams and managing performance and productivity, ideally in a legal environment.
8. Possess good IT skills, including Microsoft Word; Microsoft Teams; PowerPoint & Excel.
9. Have experience of conducting 1-2-1’s, personal development plans and performance reviews.
10. Are experienced in the use and interpretation of management information and data.
11. Can demonstrate a proven track record of leading colleagues through People processes including Absence Management, Development Plans, Disciplinaries and Grievances.
12. Possess the ability to prioritise, work quickly, accurately and to deadlines.
13. Own good interpersonal / communication skills both written and verbal, with self-awareness of your own impact on others.
14. Can demonstrate excellent client care skills with experience of client contact.
15. Are able to accurately follow Company process / guidelines and make appropriate decisions.
16. Have the ability to motivate colleagues whilst working as part of a team.
17. Possess strong supervisory skills and the ability to put others at ease and build trust and confidence through self-awareness and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
