The Nursing Associate has a breadth of knowledge across the lifespan, providing holistic and person centred care and support for people of all ages and in a variety of settings. The Nursing Associate role is the bridge between Health Care Support Workers and Registered Nurses they will work independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within all aspects of the clinical process. Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, values and behaviours relevant to employment; will work to the current a nationally recognised Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code of Conduct and must meet the NMC standards of proficiency, high quality, cost effective, professional and clinical governance evidence based practice. Nursing Associates will engage in Continuing Professional Development as per NMC Revalidation requirements and processes.
