We are working with a fantastic business support organisation who are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and well-organised Press & PR Officer to join them on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone with a creative eye, good interpersonal skills, and excellent attention to detail who can communicate effectively.
Job Responsibilities
Media Relations:
1. Cultivate and maintain relationships with local and regional media outlets.
2. Draft press releases, articles, and statements to proactively share news and information.
3. Ensure all content is in line with KPIs and overall organisation objectives.
4. Respond to media inquiries promptly and facilitate interviews with representatives.
Public Relations:
1. Develop and implement public relations plans and campaigns to promote events, programs, and initiatives.
External Communications:
1. Create compelling content for the organisation’s website, social media channels, newsletters, and other communication platforms, including the organisation's quarterly magazine.
2. Produce engaging and informative materials, including brochures, reports, and presentations.
3. Manage the organisation's presence at external events and conferences.
Measurement and Reporting:
1. Track and analyse the effectiveness of communication strategies through key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
2. Report on content success through all channels leading to intelligence for future creation.
3. Utilisation of the CRM system to ensure activity and interests can be tracked, and management of external contracts to deliver objectives.
Key Objectives/Targets:
1. Develop a content strategy that aligns with goals and interests.
2. Create high-quality, informative, and engaging content, including articles, blog posts, videos, and infographics on a regular basis.
3. Implement strategies to increase the engagement and usage of produced content by businesses, members, and the media.
4. Secure media coverage.
5. Maintain an up-to-date database.
6. Encourage members to actively participate in media opportunities and provide insights on relevant topics.
7. Establish and track KPIs related to content engagement, media visibility, and membership utilisation.
8. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to capitalise on revenue-generating opportunities.
