About the role
As a result of the continually growing demand for our specialist services, we are looking for an individual to join our expanding National Employer Solutions Team and wider People Advisory Service Group as a Manager. We offer flexible and agile working arrangements.
You will be responsible for providing UK employment tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse range of clients. This involves building relationships, assisting senior staff in client work, and managing the group as appropriate. You will be supported by a team, delegating work and fostering their development.
* Handling all employment tax matters for clients, including advisory and compliance tasks.
* Addressing issues such as P11D, PSA, termination payments, IR35, employment status, PAYE/NIC risk reviews, disclosures, HMRC enquiries, and CIS.
* Delivering employment tax projects in line with the firm’s standards and quality benchmarks.
* Developing client relationships and identifying tax planning opportunities, undertaking technical assignments as needed.
* Managing, supervising, and developing junior colleagues, including briefing, supervising work, and providing training and feedback.
* Supporting internal and external presentations, such as client seminars on employer issues.
* Researching and preparing proposals for new work, and participating in presentations to prospective clients.
* Ensuring effective liaison with other departments to identify and meet client needs.
* Maintaining technical knowledge through reading, courses, and fulfilling CPD requirements.
About the ideal candidate
The candidate should have solid UK employment tax experience, effective team leadership skills, and an interest or aptitude for business development. Opportunities for progression are available for the right candidate, with strong support for training and development.
* Expertise in employment taxation and handling complex tax issues.
* Ability to build relationships internally and externally to enhance awareness of our services.
* Project management skills to meet deadlines.
* Experience supervising staff and training junior team members.
* Experience managing client financials and adjusting approaches based on budgets.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* ATT, CTA, and/or ACA qualifications, or equivalent experience.
