The Chef de Partie assists in the preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest quality, hygiene and service standards are met and maintained at all times in line with our guests’ expectations. High-quality informal brasserie-style dining at the clubhouse forms an essential part of the golf experience. Quality grab-and-go options before and during play, along with fast, hearty, quality menus are integral to the clubhouse offering. More refined dining at MacLeod House including breakfast, dinner and special menus, which require the development, preparation and delivery of classic formal dining, is also required from time to time. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting the Executive Head Chef with preparation of hot and cold food for breakfast, lunch/and/or dinner service Running sections of the kitchen during service Ensuring a consistently high level of food service at all times through knowledge of menu items and awareness of commodities used, preparation, methods and cooking Assisting as necessary with stock control and identifying methods for improving food service Ensuring kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned and relevant health and hygiene procedures are followed at all times The following key criteria and skills are required for this role: Experience of working in a similar role within a high quality establishment and ability to produce quality food to the highest standard Ability to run and maintain own food section Current certificate in Basic Food Preparation, Health and Hygiene or similar Excellent communication skills Driven with a passion for food and quality produce Creative with a meticulous eye for detail Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment and maintain a consistently high standard of food delivery under pressure Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend and evening work will be required)Proof of eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
