Chase and Holland are delighted to be supporting a manufacturing business in Sheffield in their hunt for an Assistant Buyer. This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented and proactive, looking to start or progress their career in Procurement.
Assistant Buyer Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with the procurement of materials and products
2. Supporting the senior buying team in negotiating best prices
3. Monitoring stock levels and forecasting future demand
4. Maintaining records of purchasing, pricing and inventory levels
5. Assisting with resolving issues related to orders, deliveries and supplier performance
6. Expediting purchase requests and maintaining delivery information
Assistant Buyer Requirements:
1. Basic understanding of procurement processes
2. Experience with Microsoft Office programmes
3. Good communication and analytical skills
4. Keen eye for detail
5. Willingness to learn and develop
