Housekeeping Supervisor
We are looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor who will be an active and positive addition to our Grand Housekeeping Team. You will lead and motivate the team within the “heart of the house” by bringing your personality and flair to provide a warm and friendly environment to our colleagues and guests. The guest journey is paramount, so you'll know how to deliver a fantastic experience for our guests, time and time again achieving Grand standards.
What you will do
• Motivate the team by leading from the front with confidence; being dynamic and positive at all times
• Aid management in directing and coordinating the activities of the housekeepers to ensure the team is efficient and runs smooth operations in order to produce excellent feedback and guest satisfaction
• Knowledgeable in PMS Systems – Opera, Microsoft office, Word, Excel
• Confidently delegate task assignments in preparation for the daily operation
• Deliver daily briefings.
• Take ownership of the department; including all relevant areas, stock rooms, service cupboards, Linen stock.
• Share regular constructive feedback to the team, including go-backs and hands on advice on “how to” achieve standards working more efficiently
• Conduct regular detailed standards tests with feedback always shared with the housekeeper tested
• Standard inspecting Supreme Housekeepers.
• Confidently and competently conduct coffee chats, return to work interviews, training matrix reviews
• Build a confident and communicative relationship with the FOH team
• Report maintenance issues promptly and correctly, escalating issues to your manager when appropriate
• Conduct property inspections to ensure that all areas are immaculate
• Monitoring chemicals supplies and stock levels to ensure the team have what they need, and using correctly
• Supervise the linen porters, making sure clean linen par stock levels are sufficient and no excessive soiled linen visible in guest areas
• To supervise all public spaces are clean, fresh, sparkling and Grand!
• Responsible for all back of house staff areas, including housekeeping store areas, staff changing facilities, linen storage areas.
• Assist management in training, evaluating, motivating and coaching employees
• Be the link between management and team members; achieving true communication and team work
• Comply with, and champion, all health and safety regulations
• Be flexible to jump into any roll within the housekeeping team when needed
• Contribute to creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues
