Role: Production Technician
Site Location: Milton Keynes
Rate: £16 per hour PAYE
Duration: 12-month contract
Reporting to the Lead Technician, the Production Technician is responsible for:
1. Performing tasks associated with the manufacture of intermediates (media & antigen) per the Production schedule and in accordance with local Regulatory and GMP requirements.
2. Preparing, staging, using, and maintaining a variety of mechanical or laboratory equipment.
3. Following standard operating procedures and ensuring Good Documentation Practices.
4. Participating in Site Tier Process.
5. Applying MPS tools and methodology to lead and support investigations and CAPA implementation.
6. Participating in company-sponsored training and events.
7. Modeling Safe by Choice and Inclusive Behaviours.
8. Understanding and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Batch Manufacturing Instructions (BMI).
9. Preparing, sterilizing, and staging laboratory consumables required for manufacturing.
10. Checking equipment is fit for purpose prior to use and performing routine operational cleaning and maintenance to maintain equipment in a compliant state.
11. Operating equipment as per site documentation or manufacturer's instructions and for intended use only.
12. Identifying equipment that requires repair or replacement.
13. Working in a clean, aseptic environment (cleanroom environment).
14. Being able to undertake periods of work involving manual handling and lifting.
15. Being responsible for good housekeeping in the work area in accordance with company and relevant quality standards.
16. Completing SAP transactions relevant to manufacture within company-specified timeframes.
17. Raising purchase requisitions for operating supplies and recommending the purchase of new or replacement equipment.
18. Collaborating with other departments as required.
19. Having basic mechanical aptitude.
Technical Skills Needed:
1. Basic computer skills (Word/Outlook/Excel).
2. Experience using SAP.
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
4. Attention to detail.
5. Ability to work in a team environment.
6. Following Standard Operating Procedures.
7. Basic Math skills.
