Then come and join Taylor & Francis Group within our Books Production Editorial department in this part time Production Editor role!
As a Production Editor you will oversee the production of new titles from receipt of the author’s un-copyedited typescript through to delivery of the final product, ensuring new books meet our quality requirements.

Expected Start Date: We are expecting the new joiner to be starting in this role on Monday 26th May 2025 .
What you’ll be doing:
1. Handling incoming queries from authors and editors
2. Maintaining up-to-date information on our database
3. Quality control of final content
4. Controlling schedules
5. Assessing and coding invoices for prompt supplier payment
6. Liaising with authors if required, and providing necessary support
7. Completing multiple tasks to deadlines within a process driven environment

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
8. Be accustomed to prioritising and working to deadlines, be organised, and be able to multi-task
9. Have excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify errors
10. Understand the importance of maintaining information relied on by others, ideally through experience of using a database
11. Be able to manage expectations so that we deliver to everyone's satisfaction
12. Have the ability to problem-solve
13. Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
14. Have the ability to build rapport with people and offer first class customer service as well as be very process-driven
15. Adapt well to change and not be daunted by changing priorities
16. Have basic skills in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Reader, and have an aptitude and enthusiasm for working with new technology

Location:
17. This role is based in the UK, and you must have the right to work and live in the UK .
18. This role is offered on a part time basis (21 hours per week across 3 days) and is for a contract period of 5 months (maternity cover). We offer a truly balanced working model with the successful candidate using our Milton Park (Oxfordshire) location as their office hub with the rest of the time working from home.
