Position: Electrical Assembly Technician / Electrical Fitter / Engineer
Location: Knutsford / Warrington Area
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (DoE)
Working Hours: 4 x 10 hour days per week (Wk1: 7am - 5:30pm Mon to Thur, Wk2: 7am - 5:30pm Tue to Fri) with possible overtime on the basic week.
Salary & Benefits:
1. £30,000 - £35,000 pa DoE + occasional weekday & weekend O/T @ 1.5x
2. 160 hours holiday + B/Hols - increasing 8 hrs a year to max of 200 hours + B/Hols

Job Objective: To effectively perform electrical and pneumatic installation duties on all equipment to the required timescale and quality in accordance with the job specification/drawings and works order. To provide an effective and efficient electrical and/or mechanical installation maintenance and fault-finding service on customers' sites.
Day to Day Duties:
1. Build control panels as per drawing/specification, wire safety switches, sensors, and any remote control panels as specified on the drawing, utilising conduit and trunking as necessary.
2. Report any faults or shortages on build to the Team Leader.
3. Inspect hire machines and take appropriate action to bring the machines' condition/functionality to the current or required standard.
4. Complete final tests on all electrical work, taking action to rectify any faults identified.
5. Ensure all electrical fittings/wiring meets the required safety standards, wiring is numbered correctly, all electrical connections are tight and there are no loose or extraneous wires.
6. Conduct an inspection of electrical aspects and ensure compliance in accordance with the inspection sheets.
7. Load and download appropriate PLC programmes as necessary to ensure correct running of the machine.
8. Deal professionally, competently, and courteously with customers, suppliers, and colleagues in verbal and written communications.
9. Maintain a clean and tidy work area, all appropriate documentation, and ensure that all unused components are returned to stores appropriately.
10. Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge for the effective performance of the role.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Must have previous experience of building control panels and wiring panels.
2. Ideally be time served/completed apprenticeship as an Electrical Fitter / Panel Wirer, Electrical Engineer.
3. Previous experience of downloading and installing PLC programs onto machinery.
4. Relevant electrical qualifications.
5. Good communicational (oral, reading, and writing) skills.
6. PC Literate - MS Word / MS Excel.
7. Full UK Drivers Licence.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
1. HNC or higher qualification in a relevant electrical/electronic engineering discipline.
2. Knowledge of electrical control systems / PLCs, servo motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
3. Relevant PLC training/qualifications.
4. Previous experience of wiring/assembling packaging or processing machinery used for the Food or Pharmaceutical sectors.
5. Commissioned machinery on customers' site.
6. Mechanical assembly experience.
