As a DomesticAssistant you would be responsible for maintaining an acceptable standard ofcleanliness in the allocated areas using the correct cleaning methods,frequencies, materials and equipment, cleaning to the National Standards of HealthcareCleanliness 2021. Cleaning is carried out in wards and departments throughoutthe organisation.

Main duties of the job
To carry out allcleaning assigned, making full use of guidance and training given, usingchecklists provided.
Provide abeverage service to patients and visitors as required.
Ensure allnecessary equipment/machinery is fit for purpose before use and ensure iscleaned and correctly stored after use.
Use allmaterials and consumables in accordance with laid down practices.
Collection,segregation and disposal of waste materials, replacement of liners, inaccordance with policies.
Packing,sorting, delivering and collection of linen.
Undertake manualand mechanical cleaning activities in accordance with the cleaning schedule.
Ensure that allcleaning schedules are completed and checked on a daily basis.
Refilling of alldispensers including soap, hand towels, toilet rolls and all paper rolls
Provideemergency and ad hoc cleaning as required.
Cleaning inclose proximity to patients including beds, windows, curtain rails, windowledges, tables and lockers.
Work safely atall times giving due consideration to themselves and others.
Use theappropriate work equipment and PPE provided, reporting any maintenance, safetydeficiencies and incidents to a member of the supervisory team.
Carry out any other reasonableduties as requested by management.
Maintainingcleanliness of entrances, work areas and grounds as necessary
Shift Patterns
20 hours per week Monday to Friday 4pm -8pm
15 hours per week Saturday and Sunday 10am -6pm
Bank (0 hours) - as and when required
