We are looking for
a nurse with extensive knowledge of Endoscopy procedures, JAG and can demonstrate proven substantial experience of working within the area of Endoscopy. You will need to be flexible, adaptive and able to function in a highly pressurised environment as well as lead the team by example both in a caring and professional manner.
This is a full time role of 37 .5 hours per week over 4 days (Monday – Saturday) and the successful candidate will be expected to take part in the on- call rota which covers evenings, weekends and public holidays. (This may change in the future)
The post holder will actively deliver and develop the implementation of care for adults undergoing Endoscopy procedures. All practice will be evidence based and take into account current JAG Guidelines. The practitioner will work within an agreed model of care; assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised programmes of care, taking into account the specific physiological, psychological and social needs of the patient.
The role will involve the setting and monitoring of professional standards of care ensuring Trust policies and procedures are adhered to.
The practitioner will lead and co-ordinate the Endoscopy Team in order to efficiently and effectively facilitate pathways of care for both scheduled and emergency procedures. They will liaise with staff to assemble all equipment necessary to facilitate day to day operational effectiveness. the clinical areas (e.g. violence and aggression, clinical emergencies).
This post holder has a requirement to undertake on call duties.
