Head of Compliance & Funding Hull Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Salary: £43,157 FTE per annum Annual Leave: 31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period) As our Head of Compliance & Funding, you will work across college to lead on responsive, agile and efficient data and compliance related activity. The post holder will provide leadership and management to the Data and Compliance team and will develop a quality focused service environment that is flexible and responsive to the needs of the organisation ensuring high quality data is collected and utilised for its purpose within college systems. Responsibilities of our Head of Compliance & Funding: Provide clear day-to-day leadership in the development and delivery of the MIS, Planning and Funding, functions in line with the standards and expectations required throughout the College. Manage the continuous improvement of MIS and processes, ensuring all data is clean, valid and reliable in order to maintain outstanding performance. Manage the submission of compliant ILRs to maximise all funding claims, in line with current funding regulations and meeting the relevant deadlines. Provide advice and guidance on data, funding and compliance issues at a strategic level. Analyse and produce performance reports on all data for the SLT / Governing Body / Curriculum Leaders and external quality organisations. Take a lead role on internal and external funding audit for all funding streams. Oversee the development and implementation of internal audit programmes to ensure preparedness for external audit. Provide staff training and support on funding and compliance requirements, data systems, and the effective use of learner data. Ensure the college remains informed in respect of all funding mechanisms regarding all college provision types. Line management of the Data Compliance Officers and Data Service Manager, including performance management, individual and team development in line with the College’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures. Act as Deputy Data Protection Officer for the college and work with the Director of MIS and Data and Director of IT to ensure compliance with all associated regulations. What we’re looking for in our Head of Compliance & Funding: English and Maths grade A-C (or 9-4) GCSE or equivalent A degree of equivalent relevant qualification, and/or relevant substantial experience Experience of preparing for and undergoing funding audits Knowledge of the funding environment for all types of funding streams Understanding of education and the related quality assurance processes Ability to collate, analyse, interpret and report on data Excellent problem solving and decision making skills.
