Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Senior IT Systems Engineer to support our team of nine staff and external customer base, utilising supplied hardware and software solutions while maintaining our customers' high expectations. Reporting directly to the Customer Relations Manager, this role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to resolve problems independently, and manage projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktops and servers, including TFS and Domain Servers.
2. Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and TrueNAS Scale storage servers.
3. Monitor and maintain firewall settings and security protocols using Watchguard technologies.
4. Manage a virtualised environment based on the XCP-NG hypervisor.
5. Manage server hardware installed in local main and backup colocation data centres.
6. Ensure robust network infrastructure management using Ubiquiti products and maintain network configurations including VLANs, DNS, and IP addresses.
7. Administer Microsoft 365 environments, focusing on Intune/Endpoint Manager configurations, including security setups such as Defender and Bitlocker.
8. Perform routine administrative tasks, maintain an asset register, manage licences, and coordinate Cyber Essentials Plus certifications with external partners.
9. Support and troubleshoot a range of hardware from Dell and Lenovo, along with managing network and printing solutions like Ubiquiti, Xerox, and Ricoh.

Education and Experience:
1. Microsoft Certifications
2. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in IT administration and support.
Other requirements:
Must be a British national with a minimum of 5 years UK residency and must have or be able to obtain a UK National Security Clearance.
