Main duties of the job
As a Patient Navigator / Receptionist, you will undertake a wide range of Reception duties including (but not limited to):
1. Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
2. Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors.
3. Provide administrative support to assist in the smooth running of the Practice.

We are a small, friendly, rural Practice, situated in a beautiful village.
We are a very busy Practice and the health and well-being of our patients is our main priority.
There is a lot of expertise and knowledge within our Clinical team which consists of GPs, GP Trainees, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioner, Practice Nurses, NCSW and Phlebotomist. We have a caring and helpful Patient Navigation/Reception team, a Dispensary team that provides excellent patient services and an efficient Administrative Department.
Job responsibilities
To be responsible for a wide range of reception duties which can include but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of askmyGP, booking appointments, processing of information and assisting patients as required. To act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies.
Person Specification
Experience
* Experience of working with the general public.
* Experience of receptionist duties.
* Experience of working in a primary care / NHS environment.
Qualifications
* GCSE Level A - C in English and Mathematics.
