Join our dynamic Internal Audit team
This is an exciting opportunity for an Internal Audit Manager to join our growing Internal Audit team, situated within our wider Corporate Services community. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, the Internal Audit Manager will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our audit activities. About the role
In this new role, you will
1. Support the Head of Internal Audit to develop and deliver a risk based internal audit plan.
2. Accountable for scoping, planning, managing and delivering internal audit assignments and consultancy work to identify areas of potential risk and weakness in the business and generate actions to improve governance, risk management and control practices in accordance with the OS internal audit manual.
3. Proactively identify and take ownership of issues that could impact on the delivery of internal audit assignments and provide solutions within agreed deadlines.
4. Support continuous development of the internal audit function including review of audit manual and procedures.
5. Work with and lead third party contract auditors as required.
6. Clearly communicate audit results to internal stakeholders, to ensure the internal audit outcomes are understood, and appropriate actions are agreed by management.
7. Follow up internal audit recommendations to ensure agreed actions have been adequately addressed by management.
8. Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to ensure internal audit work adds value and contributes to strategic decision making in relation to governance, risk management and control.
9. Conduct special assignments/projects as requested by the Head of Risk & Assurance or senior management responding to emerging business risks.
10. Promote and support the business with governance, risk management and control best practice, advice, and insight.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a passionate, experienced Internal Audit Manager (or equivalent). Specifically, we’re looking for someone who has:
1. A relevant audit qualification and membership of a professional body (i.e. IIA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA).
2. A track record in planning and delivering high quality audit work which adds value to the business.
3. Ability to convey information clearly and effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and understand business operations and needs.

Salary – c.£50,000

Location: We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be required to spend two days a week with the remaining time being a personal choice as to whether you work from home or spend more time at OSHQ.
Security
OS conducts DBS background checks for all joiners and some of our roles require additional security clearance, including to SC or DV level in some cases. We will tell candidates at the appropriate time during the recruitment process if additional clearance will be required for this role.
