This role focuses on delivering significant projects within the Ministry of Justice and educational sectors.
The Role: As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of quantity surveyors while managing the financial aspects of high-profile projects. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing mentorship and support to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Oversee the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for Ministry of Justice and educational projects.
3. Manage procurement processes and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Monitor project costs and performance, implementing effective cost control measures.
5. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and resolve any financial concerns.
6. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong background in managing teams and delivering projects for the Ministry of Justice and educational sectors.
2. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
3. Strong analytical and numerical abilities, with attention to detail.
4. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
6. Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
