Overview of Role - An experienced Construction Lead is required to operate in an overarching role to support the Construction Manager and work with the QHSE, Commercial and HR/IR Functions. The role requires the candidate to be adept at managing a broader construction team and both internal and external stakeholders. Management and mitigation of the Construction Projects remain within the agreed time / budget constraints at all times.
Experience – 10 to 15 years in similar role
Applicants should have a proven track record within the construction industry and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. The candidate will have experience working on major projects and perform under pressure.
Accountabilities:
• Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
• Ensuring all site activities are undertaken safely and responsibly, and in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
• Responsible for orderliness on site and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead, manage and motivate the Project Construction Team through implementation of Best Practice.
• Support the planning and execution of construction on a day-to-day basis.
• Liaison and support functions along with the Clients stakeholders at construction meetings.
• Maintaining compliance to the site security process.

• Project the Company, Programme and Clients image to the Public and other their party key stakeholders by ensuring effective communications and maintaining harmonious relationships
Key deliverables:
• Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being implemented in support of a positive Nuclear Safety Culture.
• Own the delivery of the 16 week lookahead (provided by the Building Leads) and drive the performance of the construction team to ensure targets are met, issues are identified and resolved.
• Stakeholder management and ensuring assumptions, give/gets are communicated and managed to promote an efficient installation programme.
• Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site licence requirements.
• Ensuring daily returns are completed and issues are highlighted
• Ensure weekly & monthly reports are compiled and produced in a timely manner for upward review.
• Ensure by coordination with the superintendents there is sufficient resource to meet construction requirements are available in line with the delivery schedule.
Qualifications & experience: IOSH management, CCNSG/ HS&EMAPS, HNC or relevant extensive experience. Conversant with permit systems and associated documentation, IT skills including MS software.
