Outline of the role As a HR Advisor you will hold a key role in the HR team, responsible for providing professional HR guidance and support to managers and employees across the organisation. The HR Advisor ensures that HR policies, procedures, and initiatives are effectively implemented, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Location outline We can offer our hybrid working in connection with this role. Up to two days working from home with the other days located at a Farrans office, either Dunmurry or Monaghan. People team outline Farrans People team support our employees located across various operational Construction & Civils sites in UK & Ireland. In addition to those located within our Dunmurry, Monaghan, Edinburgh, & London offices. Farrans are one of the only sector companies to have our own in-house Training division. Key responsibilities as a HR Advisor with Farrans, will include but not limited to\: Act as a first point of contact for HR-related enquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practice. Support the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees into the organisation. Support managers in handling employee relations issues such as disciplinary’s, grievances, and performance improvement plans. Promote workplace health, safety, and wellbeing initiatives. Provide advice on managing workplace absence and support the organisation’s policies and practices. Advise and guide managers on performance review processes, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and conducting performance reviews. Successfully oversee the employee offboarding process. Keep up to date with employment laws and regulations, ensuring company compliance with legal requirements. Contribute to the development and updating of HR policies and procedures. Support initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and satisfaction. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and track HR metrics. Prepare HR reports and take notes in meetings as and when required. Analyse existing workflows and recommend improvements to reduce manual efforts and increase automation in HR processes. Support HR projects and initiatives as needed. Required Skills and Experience In-depth prior experience in a HR advisory or generalist role Proven experience with HR Projects and process improvement initiatives Hold a full driving license and access to a vehicle Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills Strong problem-solving abilities Proficiency with the complete MS Office Suite Desirable Prior knowledge of Oracle systems CIPD Part or fully qualified 3rd Level qualification in a HR or Business-related discipline What we can offer you Our employees are at the core of everything we do.
