Job details:
The Project Planner is responsible for the project planning and scheduling of project execution
deliverables reflecting the designated scope and level of detail for full-phase contract
execution trough close-out. This include establishment of schedules, monitoring of progress
compared to schedule commitments, management of the project float, proactive identification
of risks and opportunities, and recommendation of actions to drive on-time performance with
the goal to complete the project on time.
Scope:
* The Project Planner is a member of the Project Team and reports in his function directly to the Project Manager.
Primary Activities
Essentials functions/Responsibilities
* Manages the schedule and generate action plans enabling the Project team to keep the
* Project Schedule under control and inline with the approved project baseline.
* Establish related part of the overall Master Time Schedules (MTS) and ensure alignment
* of it with the time schedules of the other products and sub-projects.
* Monthly Progress and Efficiency control and reporting for the Subproject part of the
* project.
* Inform the Project Manager if deviations from planned values have been identified and
* propose recovery plans. Implement when validated, any action required for the above
* objective to be met for the project benefit, even if this implies additional impacts to one of
* the GE parties involved.
* Educate and train, as appropriate, Project Team Members with Schedule Requirements.
* Continuously propose to the risk & opportunities process, detecting for R&O to the
* project, identifying mitigation plan or action plans, and implementing them once validated.
* Actively participates to the risk & opportunities process, detecting for R&O to the project,

* Main Duties
* Support the Project Manager in all project planning related matters.
* Establish, implement and maintain the required Subproject reporting procedures.
* Identification of schedule risk and opportunities, Critical Paths analysis and the Project
* Float identification.
* Assist the Project Manager in the development of the project risk and opportunity
* identification, flagging any risk or opportunity in a transparent manner, proposing and

* Supporting solutions to mitigate these risks and/or transform the opportunities into margin
* and cash.
* Analyse progress, identify deviation from original plan, propose possible mitigation
* actions and manage interface issues that may rise.
* Schedule update by collecting all input from other participants and scope owners.
* Develop project control schedule based on contract requirements in co-operation with all
* involved scope owner parties.
* Implement a comprehensive Progress Reporting System to provide the Project Manager
* and Product Line Management with all necessary planning information to be used as a
* basis for decisions (i.e. Target, Actual & Forecast).
* Include into the Master Time any contractual dates related to claims, payments,
* subcontracts, orders, etc…
* Required Competences
Education
• Certified Engineer or Bachelor’s degree is expected
Industrial background
Experience
* Over 5 years hands-on experience with Primavera Project Planner and other similar
* software.
* Planning experience including site presence.
* Behavioural and/or Technical Know-how
* General kwowledge of power plant systems.
* Experience in Rotating Equipment Projects desirable.
* Negotiation and presentation.
* Quick decision making
* Above average ability in the use of spread sheet, database and presentation software.
* Planning, organizing and coordinating skills in international environment.
* Excellent communication and personnel interaction skills.
