About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Finance team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the production of the year end statutory accounts and monthly management accounts together with the ability to collate and report on the annual budget setting exercise and quarterly reforecasting. Ensuring KPIs and PIs are prepared in an accurate and timely fashion is essential. The role also entails managing the shared services function and ensure the Finance systems and software are being utilised optimally and the fixed asset register is correctly maintained.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. To ensure the day-to-day processes are being well managed in relation to purchase ledger, sales ledger, integrations from other systems, reconciliations of control accounts and cashbook.
2. To have oversight of periodic assessments of the effectiveness of internal controls in relation to the financial regulations, segregation of duties, dual controls, and supplier bank details so that the risk register captures the most up to date position.
3. To co-ordinate the annual budget and quarterly forecast process across the Group.
4. To ensure that the fixed asset register is maintained, and that new developments, component replacements and capitalised repairs are accurately recorded on the balance sheet.
5. To ensure the finance system (Business Central), and other supporting software packages are maintained.
6. Prepare quarterly forecasts and variance analyses to evaluate financial performance against budget.
7. Produce the annual statutory accounts in line with the latest SORP's and accounting direction.
8. Lead on the year end and interim audit exercises.
9. Prepare the annual data returns to the Regulator of Social Housing and other external bodies.
10. Ensure monthly management accounts are comprehensive, accurate and timely.
11. Review and oversee the production of the regular management information to the Board, Executive Team and budget holders, for example performance reports for the Board, Directors and Corporate Leadership Team.
A DBS check will be required for the successful applicant as part of our pre-employment checks.
