Job description:
We are currently looking for a Freight Administrator to join our team, based in Tiverton, Devon, you will be responsible for the administration of all freight legal compliance and operational efficiency and effectiveness in Dormakaba Supply chains.
A job that matters: Your Tasks
* Consolidate and track freight supplier information to be used in Vendor appraisals to include NCR's, on time delivery, contact details etc.
* Maintain data used on Freight control tower (Exceptions, timed spend)
* Provide quotations for Freight movements, develop knowledge to offer guidance to the business for the movement of goods both domestically and internationally.
* Develop specific product knowledge to be able to work out weight & dimensions for freight quotes and paperwork.
* Tracking of carrier spend and fluctuations, Invoice auditing and clearances.
* Complete and track all actions and paperwork required for Import of goods to all Dormakaba sites using various procedures and selection of the best forwarder or carrier.
* Coordinating container / air freight shipment dates with forwarders / suppliers, tracking overseas shipments to know when delivery will occur and minimising delivery time and cost into the UK.
An experience that matters: Your Skills
* Proven ability to be organised, diligent, methodical, In an environment where you manage data accurately.
* Excellent Eye for detail and strong organizational skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Import and Export experience desirable but not essential.
* Experience of using SAP (or equivalent) MRP desirable but not essential.
