Salary: London weighted £61,949 per annum dependant on experience and location
Regional/Outside London: £54,417 per annum dependant on experience and location

We are looking for someone to join our new team and play a significant role in ensuring a robust approach to risk, controls and in enabling assurance that informs business decision making across L&Q Group.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development and implementation of the group wide approach to risk and assurance, and will play a leadership role in ensuring and enabling business buy in and effective and efficient implementation across Group. They will draw on and apply their knowledge and insight including of the sector, and use external sources of best practice, internal and external risk data, in order to influence and continuously improve the way in which risk, controls and assurance is managed at L&Q.
As such, the role holder, through effective application of the group wide approach to risk and assurance, is part of the team that enables a deep understanding of our risk profile, the effectiveness of our controls to mitigate risks, and informs and influences the continuous improvement of those controls. They will work with leaders and colleagues across the Group to support them in ensuring good understanding of the risks relative to their portfolio, in assessing those, and identifying suitable controls that are operationally workable and effective in mitigating the risks.
They will play a leading role in group wide ‘internal controls’ reporting, enabling robust, data informed reporting through the L&Q governance structure on our risk profile and controls, supporting colleagues at all levels to make risk informed decisions aligned to our strategic intent and risk appetite as a group. They will use their knowledge, data and insight to contribute to the setting of risk appetites at a strategic and operational level, and guiding the business on how best to apply these in business decision making, working to ensure they remain a core part of enabling risk informed decisions.

We are a multi-site organisation, so some roles may require occasional travel between offices, but expenses will be covered.
