What You'll Be Doing Creating Unforgettable Experiences Lead the events function for both properties, crafting seamless, show-stopping experiences that exceed guest expectations. Manage a diverse portfolio of events, from intimate private dinners to large-scale corporate gatherings and spectacular social celebrations. Work closely with clients, understanding their vision and transforming it into reality with precision and creativity. Collaborate with the F&B and operations teams to ensure flawless execution and impeccable service delivery. Commercial & Strategic Leadership Drive event sales by identifying new business opportunities and nurturing strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and agencies. Develop innovative packages and promotions to attract different market segments and maximise revenue. Monitor event P&L, ensuring budget targets are met while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Analyse market trends and competitor activity, adapting strategies to stay ahead in Edinburgh's dynamic events scene. Operational Excellence & Coordination Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of events, ensuring all logistical elements come together seamlessly. Lead pre-event briefings with operational teams, ensuring every detail is anticipated and executed to perfection. Implement best practices for event management, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high standards across both properties. Manage supplier relationships, negotiating contracts and securing top-quality services that enhance our events. Team Leadership & Development Inspire and lead a passionate events team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and guest-centric excellence. Train and mentor team members, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to deliver outstanding events. Conduct post-event debriefs, celebrating successes and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Strong commercial awareness, with a talent for driving event sales and maximising profitability. An exceptional communicator and relationship-builder, skilled at engaging with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Confident in leading teams, providing guidance, training, and motivation to deliver outstanding events. Adept at using event management software and familiar with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
