Day-to-day commercial management of the contract with Cheshire East’s Highways service provider,
including the management of costs, issue of task orders / instructions and review of early warning and
compensation events. Work with the service provider to ensure compliance with contract requirements
and deliver value for money for the Council.
This is an excellent opportunity to join Cheshire East Council’s Highways team. It’s an exciting time for our Highways service. We’re undergoing a big change, expanding our team with new roles so that we can continue to work effectively on developing our services.
You’ll be joining an energetic and committed team with a great sense of purpose. We manage the council’s Highway Service Contract, working collaboratively with our service provider to improve highway services in the borough. We’re looking for experienced highways professionals who can deliver under pressure. You’ll also have excellent communication skills, being able to explain complex information concisely to a wide range of people. Most of all, you’ll thrive on getting the job done as part of a team.
You will complement the work of the Quantity Surveyors, bringing commercial acumen and contract management skills to help make sure that we get value for money.
