Engaging and Nurturing Part-Time Nanny Required in Wideopen, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Job Type: Part-Time (2 days a week, Tuesday & Saturday or Sunday 7.30am - 5.30pm plus one overnight stay one Tuesday per month)
Job Summary:
Are you a compassionate and experienced nanny looking to join a loving family in the Newcastle area? Happy Nest Nanny & Maternity Agency is currently seeking a dedicated sole charge nanny to support a family with 3 children aged 11, 4 & 15 months as they relocate to the area.
In addition to caring for the toddler and 4-year-old during the day, you will have the opportunity to engage in sensory play and contribute to their early development. There will be opportunities to enjoy trips to the park, soft play, and farm parks in the area, as well as pick-ups and drop-offs to various activities. The role also includes looking after the family's delightful 11-year-old daughter when she is at home from school during holidays and after school.
Due to the nature of dad's work, you must be happy to work 1 Saturday or Sunday per week plus one overnight stay per month on Tuesday and occasional extra babysitting.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide top-quality care for the children, ensuring their educational developmental milestones are being followed.
2. Engage them in stimulating sensory play and age-appropriate activities.
3. Collaborate with the parents to establish a smooth routine for the family.
4. Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to childcare, laundry, and maintaining a tidy environment.
5. Supervise the 11-year-old daughter during school holidays and after school.
6. School pick-ups and drop-offs.
7. Show nurturing and compassionate care towards all the children.
8. Maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
9. Prepare nutritious meals and healthy snacks.
Requirements:
1. Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate (Agency can assist with this).
2. Recognised childcare qualification.
3. Paediatric First Aid certification.
4. Previous experience working with children of all ages.
5. Genuine passion for providing excellent childcare and promoting child development.
6. Warm, engaging, and patient personality.
7. Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with children and parents.
8. Punctuality and reliability; flexible to do overnights and weekend work.
9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
10. Valid references from previous childcare positions.
Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salary: £16-£19 gross per hour
