Role Overview The firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Marine Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its specialist team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of maritime law matters, with a particular focus on wet shipping, including P&I and Defence work, admiralty matters such as collisions and pollution incidents, as well as some non-contentious marine work. The successful candidate will be involved in high-quality cases, advising clients on complex legal and regulatory issues affecting the marine sector. Key Responsibilities Managing a caseload of shipping and maritime law matters, including contentious and advisory work. Providing expert legal advice on admiralty, insurance, and regulatory matters. Handling litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution proceedings. Representing clients in high-profile industry events and networking opportunities. Engaging in business development initiatives to strengthen client relationships. Skills & Experience Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 3 years' PQE in civil litigation. Strong interest and experience in marine or transport law (prior maritime experience preferred but not essential). Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively within a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive approach to client engagement. Why Join?
